From network management to long-term lifecycle support for mission-critical railway networks.
Dedicated Network Partners (DNWP) has been supporting Banedanmark, Denmark’s national railway infrastructure manager, since 2018. From network management systems to 24/7 legacy network support, the partnership helps ensure the reliability, availability and gradual modernization of Denmark’s mission-critical railway communications.
The collaboration began in 2018 when Banedenmark selected the Net Hero Network Management System, supplied by DNWP, to manage its legacy Nokia Dynanet PDH network.
The migration from the previous management platform was completed in just eight weeks without service interruption, providing improved operational visibility, enhanced cybersecurity and new capabilities such as alarm reporting and geographical network views.
As Banedanmark’s network has evolved, so has the cooperation.
Today, DNWP provides 24/7 support for the legacy PDH infrastructure together with its technology partner Telenova. In this collaboration, DNWP is responsible for PDH technologies, while Telenova provides expertise for the Ericsson SDH environment, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the network transformation journey.
Working closely with Banedanmark, Telenova and the Network Operations Centre operated by Aeven, the teams help maintain the availability of mission-critical railway communications while supporting the gradual transition towards future network technologies.
