The first customer projects are now underway in Finland and Thailand, marking an important milestone in DNWP’s expanding portfolio for power utility communications.
The cooperation between DNWP and Selta, part of Digital Platforms, began in 2024 with a clear objective: to provide utility operators with advanced teleprotection solutions for modern power networks.
With the first deliveries now in progress, TPS-3000 is now commercially available both as a standalone, network-agnostic teleprotection solution and as part of DNWP’s communications platform based on Connection Master.
TPS-3000 can be deployed over virtually any suitable transport network, enabling utilities to integrate mission-critical protection into both existing and new communication infrastructures.
For customers preferring a single supplier, DNWP also offers TPS-3000 together with the Connection Master optical transport platform, providing teleprotection, communication transport and centralized network management from a single supplier.
The combined platform supports both traditional SDH and modern MPLS-TP networks, delivering the deterministic, ultra-low-latency communication required for reliable teleprotection.
Strengthening Critical Infrastructure
Reliable teleprotection remains one of the cornerstones of modern power grid infrastructure. As utilities continue to modernize transmission and distribution networks, maintaining ultra-low latency and highly available communications is essential for protecting people, equipment and grid stability.
“Teleprotection is a critical part of modern utility communications, and adding TPS-3000 to our portfolio allows us to offer customers a complete solution, from optical transport and network management to mission-critical protection”, says Antti Viro, Managing Director of DNWP.
Connection Master is the flagship product in DNWP’s portfolio. Designed and manufactured in Finland, it is deployed in critical communication networks in more than 57 countries worldwide. The addition of TPS-3000 complements the company’s portfolio, enabling DNWP to provide utilities with a comprehensive communications and teleprotection solution from a single supplier.
“With the first deliveries now underway, we are proud to offer utilities a proven, end-to-end solution that combines reliable transport, centralized management and high-speed teleprotection in one platform.”
