PTP Precision Time Protocol
DNWP connection master supports synchronization distribution and PTP profiles defined by ITU-T, IEEE and IEC standards.
Boundary and Transparent Clock modes can be selected. For best performance, PTP can be used together with SyncE.
- G.8275.1 – Precision time protocol telecom profile for
phase/time synchronization with full timing support from the network. - G.8275.2 – Precision time protocol telecom profile for
phase/time synchronization with partial timing support from the network. - G.8265.1 – Precision time protocol telecom profile for
frequency synchronization. - C37.238-2017 – Precision time protocol in power system
applications. - 61850-9-3:2016 – Precision time protocol profile for power
utility automation.
Adjustable port ingress/egress latency
Maximum absolute time error – TE: 30 ns (G.8273.2)
Maximum constant time error – cTE: 10 ns (G.8273.2)
Other supported frequency sources and outputs
- Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE; ITU-T G.8261)
- E1, 2.048 Mbps
- 2.048 MHz
