Dedicated Network Partners (DNWP) has delivered an MPLS-TP solution for Fingrid’s new transmission substation located in the city of Nokia, Finland.
Connection Master combines SDH, TDM, and MPLS-TP technologies in a single mission-critical communications platform. Designed for utility and industrial networks, it delivers long-term reliability, high availability, and a smooth migration path towards future telecommunications technologies.
The platform continues to play a key role in critical communications infrastructure, supporting the expansion of Finland’s national power grid. The solution is currently deployed in 57 countries worldwide.
Supporting Critical Communications for Decades
While MPLS-TP is gaining adoption, SDH remains an important technology for many customers and is expected to remain in use for years to come.
Fingrid’s Nokia substation represents one of the latest additions to Finland’s transmission network. Thanks to the long lifecycle and proven reliability of the Connection Master platform, the solution is expected to serve the substation for decades.
